In early December Moscow successfully hosted an international forum "Russian Greenhouse complexes 2016" in the framework of which "Razvitie" Corporation presented the regional concept of "GC 500".
Event was organized by Vostok Capital Company and the Union of fruits and vegetables producers with Russian Ministry of Agriculture support.
Over than 500 Heads of the largest agricultural holdings, greenhouses, greenhouse investment projects initiators, companies, equipment manufacturers and service providers, government and regulatory institutions representatives took place in the business program.
Forum has become an authoritative platform for Russian greenhouse industry investments, industry development strategies discussion, experience exchange between the key market players and entering into new mutually beneficial contracts.
Among plenary meetings and discussions participants was a Russian Federation Ministry of Agriculture delegation headed by the Deputy Minister Yevgeny Gromyko who delivered a welcoming speech at the plenary session and touched upon the issues of further greenhouse vegetable production sector development, industry investors state support.
The first persons of Agriculture Ministries from Arkhangelsk and Sakhalin, Rostov, Ryazan, Kaluga, Samara region, Republic of Bashkortostan, as well as representatives of regional development corporations took an active part in the forum work.
Belgorod region experience on the implementation of the regional concept "Greenhouse cluster 500 hectares" was considered.
The presentation was made by the Head of “Razvitie” Corporation Horticulture project management Department Mikhail Korolev. He outlined the main concept stages, raised the key industry issues which according to experts may soon have a negative impact on the pace of its development.
Continuing the theme the President of the National Union of Fruit and Vegetable Sergei Korolev made greenhouse industry assessment with a profile union position, analyzed investors risks and problems in the course of investment projects implementation and outlined a number of initiatives. Among the key ones: preservation support of volume for reimbursement of capital costs for the greenhouse complex at the level of not less than 5 billion rubles per year and ensure the stability of state support measures until 2020; preservation Turkish tomatoes embargo till 2020. He also proposed to declare 2017 the year of "the struggle for the quality of agricultural products in the agro-food market".
Deputy Head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Julia Shvabauskene in her turn told the participants about the government measures in the field of Russian market of cucumber and tomato protection.
In the framework of event meetings with investors from Russia, Europe and Asia-Pacific countries was held. Working sessions and round table forum focused on the most relevant topics of the greenhouse business - namely, public-private partnerships and state support, generation of energy, seed, plant protection products, innovative technologies and equipment to improve the efficiency and lower production costs, practical examples of launching and maintaining a greenhouse business, marketing products through wholesale and logistics centers and federal and regional retail chains and so on. Parallel sessions of the first and the second day was devoted to investment projects presentation in areas such as the fruit- and vegetable, mushroom and flower production.
Industry leaders - equipment and technology manufacturers presented technical innovations and practical examples to optimize production costs and increase profits greenhouses.
Over two forum working days more than 200 meetings were held which became the basis for a long and mutually beneficial cooperation of the participants and act as a fillip for the further dynamic development of the greenhouse industry in Russia.
